COVID FASHION WEEK

COVID FASHION WEEK

Posted by Michelle Tsau on

Paris Fashion Week just finished a few days ago, and it is obvious how the industry has changed. Social distancing and working online became our daily routine and fashion weeks - the most critical moments in the industry also went for online presentation. However, some big high-end brands still try to show collections in front of people, even a very tiny audience. Others have empty venues and streaming live or publishing lookbooks. Lena Knappova, a Paris-based photographer, brings us a little of an atmosphere at Dior and Y PROJECT show. Compared to an old-day rush all over Paris, it is tranquil.

We certainly miss mingling and meeting new people live. Going around dressed up in our favorite brands with a drink in our hands seems like ancient history. But no matter how in love with new technologies, we will always miss direct contact. Fashion is about first impressions too, and now we lack it. Everything comes to "all dressed up and nowhere to go". Let's keep our attitude positive and think this restriction of freedom will soon be over and fashion parties will never end. Just keep outfits ready!
