At the renowned fashion museum MoMu in Antwerp, an ongoing exhibition in collaboration with the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Antwerp showcases the most intriguing student work and concepts. This prestigious university, celebrated for its artistic approach and conceptual perception of fashion, encourages students to push their creative boundaries and rethink ideas from an individual perspective.
The exhibition features a compelling assemblage of silhouettes, drawings, and books. Drawing has been an essential component of the curriculum, alongside a profound exploration of materials and techniques. The works on display illustrate the development of an idea, from initial sketches to fabric selection, construction, and the final model.
The exhibition is curated and designed by Brandon Wen and Amir Torres, with Elisa De Wyngaert serving as the curator for MoMu and Ilias Mettioui handling graphic design.
Witnessing young talent is always exhilarating, especially knowing that some of these students will shape the future of the fashion industry.
