LONDON FASHION WEEK VIBES - Avant Gardist

LONDON FASHION WEEK VIBES

London has always been a fashionable city but compared to elegant Paris, this kind of fashion is more street vibe, subcultural and anti-establishment. Not only punk but many other subcultures were born in London. That's why we were especially excited to visit the city during fashion week which is specifically tailored for rebellious fashion designers, multiculturalism and breaking the rules. Streets are vibrant with people from all around the world; the different backgrounds, cultures, and styles are uncountable. Now and then of course, in your travels around the City, you get caught by eye-catching punks and their extravagant colorful hairstyles. Central Saint Martins is one of the best places in the world for studying fashion along with the other universities where you study fashion design in the City), so the city became the hub for young designers, graduates, and emerging ones who just started their labels. Passionate about fashion and in love with British heritage from Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, and John Galliano and the originals Mary Quant, and Thomas Burberry - students from different continents go to London to study fashion design. This is also the reason why London fashion week is so much about young upcoming designers. A few graduates from London College of Fashion, UAL, and Central Saint Martins always keep a high level of interest. Fashion that comes from London has many different influences, very often inspired by historical costumes, deconstructed and created with the use of high technology, in production, fabrics, and presentation. Every global aspect is there but generally, fashion in London is more street style personal, and cozy, it is not elegant and high-end like in Paris. There’s never a wrong time to find a reason to visit and feel this catching atmosphere.. During our time in London we discovered new, interesting emerging designers who have just started their fashion adventure. We are excited to embrace them in the AG family and offer their designs in our shop. Don't miss the opportunity to find out about them too. Stay connected.
